I’m going to be frank with myself and admit that I have no eyebrows. Some people are blessed with bushy, thick eyebrows, and I am not one of those people. That’s why in order to transform from Voldemort into a normal person, I need to use my brow products. I had heard a lot about the Benefit Gimme Brow, and a few months ago, I finally splurged and got it.
Claims:
On Sephora they claim,
“Benefit’s Gimme Brow+ Volumizing Eyebrow Gel contains tiny microfibers that adhere to skin and brow hairs, creating natural-looking brow volume. The custom tiny, tapered brush provides an easy, mess-proof application, and makes it easy to tame, tint, and volumize the look of your brows. The buildable formula is also water resistant and long wearing. This product is an Allure Best of Beauty award winner.”
TL;DR it does what all brow gels due while being water resistant and long wearing.
Price: 1.12 oz

The Run-Down:
So let’s start by discussing how to pick a shade. I generally like to go one or two shades lighter than my natural brow color (which as an asian, is black). After you’ve chosen your shade, in order to use the gel, gently swipe along your brow shape. The mascara effect this brow has is super subtle and it’s much more of a tint than a browcara. More often than not, the gel will get onto the skin underneath my brow hairs and make my brows look fuller, but the effect does not really come from the actual lengthening of the brows. I enjoy using this browcara but it’s definitely more of a tint than a volumizer. I just feel as though the same effect could be achieved using a pencil since it doesn’t really grab onto my brow hairs as much as my skin. Plus, for such a steep price… I don’t know if I’ll be repurchasing it.
Pros and Cons:
PROS
- Great applicator (very precise)
- Tints very well
- Relatively long lasting
- Works to make brows look bushier
CONS
- Doesn’t make brow hairs look longer
Who Should Use:
I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has a different hair color and eyebrow color. As a tint, this would work really well to match the two. However, if you have thin brows like me, you might need some reinforcements. If you have medium to thic brows, this should definitely be enough for a daily boost.

I like it but I just think the same effect could be achieved using cheaper products.
