Hey guys! So today I want to talk about a product that really changed my skin. I feel as though a lot of skincare products are great at what they are suppose to do (eg. moisturize, cleanse, or tone), but it’s definitely hard to find a product that will actively improve your skin. Like a serum, this product worked to change my skin, not just maintain it.
Claims:
On Nakeup Face’s website they say,
“T zone oil explosion! Remove AHA exfoliating oil paper , start peeling, and immediately remove the keratin oil , exfoliate eraser”
I’m assuming that what this product does is reduce the amount of oil on the face by using AHA to remove oil like blotting paper and exfoliate. It wil make your face peel. The removal of keratin is important because excess keratin oil will plug up the skin and trap dead skin cells. The AHA will exfoliate and unplug the skin, removing the trapped dead skin cells and help to prevent acne and blackheads.

The very second ingredient here is Hyaluronic Acid, which is great for keeping the skin moisturized from deep within. The very third ingredient is Allantoin, which we have been seeing a lot of lately! Likely because Allantoin is good for soothing and protecting the skin while stimulating the growth of new tissue. With such high concentrations of this ingredient here, it’s no wonder that this product is known to renew the skin. The fourth ingredient is what we’re all here for—Glycolic Acid, also known as Alpha Hydroxy Acid, also known as AHAs. If you’re not familiar with AHAs, I’ll give you the Tl;DR. AHAs are great for reducing wrinkles and imroving the texture of the skin. They are often used as chemical peels and are known to have effective results. This product also contains Centella Asiatica which can boost antioxidant activity at wounds, strenghten the skin, improve its elasticity, and help with acne. There are however, a few ingredinets here that I might be wary of, especially if you’re prone to fungal acne. This product contains Sweet Almond Oil, Macadamia Oil, Polysorbate 20, Jojoba Seed Oil, Triethanolamine, Glyceryl Stearate, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Stearic Acid, Carthamus Tinctorius Seed Oil, PEG-100 Stearate, and Cetyl Alcohol. I’m not particularly concerned about any of these, and personally, I have not had any negative experiences with them, but if your skin gets clogged or you begin to see fungal acne, one or a combination of these ingredients might explain why. Overall, a pretty great ingredient list that will definitely do what it’s suppose to do.

The Run-Down:
After a few days of using this product, my face definitely begins to peel. This is great for trying to reduce my acne scarring and it definitely cuts down on the oil production in my t-zone, but beware not to combine this with other drying products. I layered this with some Benzoyl Peroxide, and my skin was irreversibly dry for a few days. There are not many products that truly live up to their name, but it seems that this is one of them. It really does change the texture of my skin, and I’m not sure where I could find another product like this. My first impression of this product was pretty disappointing. It actually felt very moisturizing, and I had no idea why this product made people’s skin peel. However, after consistent use, my skin definitely began to “renew” itself by peeling off the dead skin. I would definitely recommend this to people who have scarring, oily to combination skin, acne, or any textural issues. Like all things it takes time, but it’s definitely worth it. I also don’t use too much everytime, since it’s really more like a spot treatment than a moisturizer that you put all over your face. I just put it on areas that I want to improve.
Pros and Cons:

- Does what it says it does and helps with acne scarring
- Reduces sebum
- Decent price for the effects that it has
CONS
- Some ingredients that may cause fungal acne or clog some pores (but I have not found this to be true)
Who Should Use:
I’m not sure if I would recommend this to people with dry skin (perhaps use carefully on problem areas) but I would recommend this to anyone else who is looking to really change the texture of their skin.

It’s crazy I know, but I think this is a holy grail for me. I have heard of Drunk Elephant’s Babyfacial, and I’ve never tried it, but I imagine these two products do mildly similar things at completely different price points. Please feel free to educate my wild assumptions in the comments below (or agree!). Overall, I really enjoy this product and will definitely be purchasing for everyone in my life.
