Hey guys! Today I’m going to be talking about the Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk. I used to wash my hair every day because I had swim practice\, but since I’ve stopped swimming I no longer need to wash my hair every day. In fact, washing your hair everyday can be stripping. Although, I still want to keep my hair from looking oily—that’s where dry shampoo comes into play. Some dry shampoos can leave a white residue in my dark hair or not absorb any oil at all. That’s where we need to find the ones that work and work well.
Claims: On Sephora’s website they claim,
“An ultra-gentle dry shampoo with plant-based ingredients that eliminate oil, dirt, and odors for hair that’s clean with added volume and texture. Formulated with gentle oat milk, this Dry Shampoo quickly absorbs oil, leaving hair clean, refreshed, and full of texture and volume. It extends the life of blowouts, while ultra-fine powders blend invisibly into hair with no chalky residue. It is color safe and gentle enough for a sensitive scalp.”
Ingredients: The star ingredient here is the oat milk! Oat milk is not only delicious, but can also strengthen and moisturize hair. It also is nice and soothing for the scalp. I wouldn’t use this as a treatment product, but the oat milk is a nice benefit. To absorb oil, this product uses corn and rice starch as well as natural absorbent microspheres and silica, to neutralize the dirt, oil, and odor. In terms of ingredients this product doesn’t have, well, I’ll just cite the Sephora website:
“Free of sulfates SLS and SLES, parabens, formaldehydes, formaldehyde-releasing agents, phthalates, mineral oil, retinyl palmitate, oxybenzone, coal tar, hydroquinone, triclosan, and triclocarban. This product is also vegan. It comes in recyclable packaging”
Essentially, this product is like a dream come true.

I personally bought mine from Costco! I don’t think they carry it anymore though 😦
The Run-Down:
This was one of the first dry shampoos I ever used, and I must say that I’m impressed. Although the effect doesn’t exactly make my hair look freshly washed, the oil is absorbed, the volume is restored, and my hair smells like Dove soap (which I like but take it as you will). In order to soak up all the oil in my medium thick hair, I would need a lot of product, but I usually just get the top few layers and then put my hair in a pony tail. I do find the shampoo dulls the hair from the gross oily shine but also the freshly washed shine. As for the white reside some dry shampoos leave in my hair, this spray comes out white but quickly disappears after I massage it into my scalp. Overall, a little pricey for my taste, but if you can get it on sale I’d say it’s pretty worth it.
Pros and Cons:
PROS
- Effective
- No white reside
- Nutritious oat milk
CONS
- A tad pricey
Who Should Use:
Obviously, I don’t have every hair type (my hair is medium thick and gets oily within 24 hours), but on the website it says this product is suitable for all hair types. The reviews I read also prove that this is true. Also, if this product doesn’t leave a white cast on my hair, I can’t see it being noticeable on lighter hair. If you have thicker hair, you may need more of the product, but it will probably still be effective.
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
4/5 stars
I really enjoyed using this product, and it is currently my favorite dry shampoo. I deducted a star because of the price point, and I’m hoping to find an even more budget friendly alternative. But overall, I like it and would purchase it again!
